Mini-Max has a new case !! and more
Mercury Instruments is proud to announce the New Mini-Max. We have listened to the customers request for a small yet sturdy case. We have tested the case under the most extreme temperature ranges(see photo) and for water resistance (see photo).
The Mini-Max new case offers numerous advantages and benefits.
- Glass filled polycarbonate material that will not peal or decay.
- Copper lined case (see photo) that will not allow interference from nearby electrical devices or power lines.
- Double latch bar eliminates screws and provides a powerful, even seal in two places with no adjustments needed.
- The Messenger Modem fits in the case without stacking, allowing easier access.
- The input switch provides an extremely reliable, powerful switch mechanism.
- The case has a form in place gasket that provides an extremely tight seal against water and electronic interference.
- The LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) cover (see photo) is hard composite and the LCD is closer to the window. This allows for easier viewing of the digits.
- The new battery pack (see photo) is very sturdy and each battery has its own compartment and set of contacts. This will make for reliable battery contacts for years and some protection if battery manufacturers modify the size of their "D" cells.
- The new composite case has improved venting.
- The case has undergone a three year long testing process at Mercury Instruments, at an independent test lab, and on site of challenging customer locations. In all cases it has performed extremely well.
